These topics may seem unrelated but there's some hidden truth here I will try to express. What do mixed genre music, jestermaxing and bad search engine results have in common? These are the effects of a silent cultural and technological takeover from the East. Hear me out okay?
Have you noticed the onslaught of popular media in the West with 'weird' piled-on fashion choices, mismatched genre switching and contrived usage of slang that just doesnt fit if english is your mother tongue? I was watching aspiring Eurovision singers perform their songs, and the connection was obvious to me. This was inspired by kpop. Maybe you disagree this is kpop imitation, however it is undeniable that korea has become a cultural powerhouse for music and media, with kdramas and kpop having been popularised all over the world. This is the popular aspect of the cultural takeover.
The other aspect is pertains to subculture. Incel culture has become pervasive in the western world. Everyone has become introverted, autistic and weird. It is now normal to watch anime and relate to bizzarely written characters and even for males to watch their animated pornography. Being a bitter sexless male is nothing new, but this particular strain of incel culture I would argue has it's roots in the East. If you are not familiar, jestermaxing pertains to maintaining a facade of hollow jocularity as a coping mechanism. The 1948 japanese novel titled 'No longer human' or 'A shameful life' describes this in detail. This is just one example of how a Eastern behaviour has passed onto the West. Forum culture, introvert-styled perverts, looksmaxing and plastic surgery are other examples which come to mind.
Finally I will adress the most important question of all. That of the missing information. Have you ever tried to research a technology so foundational to modern life and yet the information is vague or simply not there. The internet should be overflooded with blueprints and manuals on how to construct all the necessary products from raw materials. Instead of this, what you'll actually find is endless normies vapidly posting their stream of consciousness on social media. What we were promised vs what we were given. From personal experience in researching LCD screens or cement manufacturing, the lack of information is stunning. And no, this information isn't hidden away in some book either, it is a trade secret at best, at worst it's tech shipped from China that nobody really understands.
Here is some supporting evidence for this from my personal life. According to Varoufakis, the West simply stopped manufacturing energy production technology in the mid 2000s. Solar panels, batteries, computer parts, all come from China now. Additionally, one of my professors brought up how all new research from the West comes from either the mediterranean or under foreign names. The mediterranean is the last bastion of western research but I'm afraid they will succumb to the same fate as the rest of Europe.
What seems to be happening is that the West is simply giving up. It wasn't murder it was suicide. I predict that it's only going to get worse. We're undergoing a shift and nobody is talking about it or even noticing it. This is the new normal. Godspeed to the non-normies with their isolated technological and cultural hubs, hopefully they preserve and outlast this trend.
